Divine Sparks — Tenants (Part 1)

Fleshing out the divine spark:

The divine spark breathes in every organic creation of God, including human beings, mammals, reptiles, plants, etc. The presence implies egalitarian relationship between humans, animals, and vegetative life. As such, no member of this triad is superior to any other member. Egalitarianism requires complete respect for organic life. All life created by God is sacrosanct; since extinguishing life is extinguishing God’s divine spark, the death of such is prohibitive. The first tenant promotes radical pacificism. Proactive wars, proactive environmental neglect or abuse is prohibitive. Exceptions are few, only if all remaining options are gone and survival is an issue.

The divine spark — like all of God’s creations — requires nurturance to foster, to grow. Growth is necessary. Without growth, the divine spark becomes a mere glint, a splinter, a speck never completely dying but never thriving. When such nurturance is supplied, part of the requirement is met. If nurturance is supplied it also must be accepted. God supplies nature with food or nurturance in an ecological interdependent web, where divine sparks interact, merge and grow. Typically, human beings reject egalitarianism, preferring hierarchies whereby nature is relegated to a subordinate role. Based on the breakdown of our planet, this philosophical approach is not viable nor is it sanctioned in the Bible.
